Description: HUM 479 "I Brought You A Gift" - TMK-6 - FINAL ISSUE 1995/96 Gold Medallion Tag and Rare Thank You Card! Height 4" Tall This figurine was first released in the U.S. market in 1989 as a free gift for joining the M.I. HUMMEL CLUB (formally Goebel Collectors Club). The hummel was originally modeled by master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek in 1987. It has an incised 1987 copyright date along with TMK-6 trademark. Also bears the inscription: "M.I. HUMMEL CLUB" applied by blue decal. A large black and yellow flying bumble bee is located above Club text on the bottom of figurine, in a half circle. This figurine is accompanied with a Gold Medallion Hang Tag which states "M.I. HUMMEL CLUB FINAL ISSUE LETZTE AUSGABE 1995/96" and a foldable Thank You card. This card is difficult to find as many were not saved throughout the years. Some figurines have eyelashes while others do not. This one Does have eyelashes. "I Brought You A Gift" was Not sold as an Open Edition! It was only given to members of the club. This figurine is a Closed Edition (CE) and was Permanently Retired (PR) by Goebel on May 31, 1996. Has Goebel Missing Bee Trademark (TMK-6) stamped in Blue on underside of base. Stamped " M.I. HUMMEL CLUB" in blue on underside of base. (Bumblebee is yellow and black.) Incised Hummel Number "479" and Copyright Date "1987" on underside of base. Incised M.I. Hummel signature is located on rear side of base. Hummel stands at 4" tall, which matches the height listed in the catalogs. Figurine has a Gold Medallion Hang Tag that reads "M.I. HUMMEL CLUB FINAL ISSUE LETZTE AUSGABE 1995/96". Master Painter Hand-signed signature with year (89) in black on underside of base. Eyelashes - This figurine Does have eyelashes! Some do not have eyelashes. M.I. HUMMEL CLUB foldable Thank You Card is included! This card is difficult to find as most were discarded over the decades. Original Black Hummel Club Box does NOT have a label! Apparently, Goebel forgot to attach the label! Have not seen another like this one. Figurine comes with Gold Medallion Hang Tag, "Thank You" Card and original "Unlabeled" black box with foam inserts. Closed Edition. (CE) (Never sold as Open Edition!) Permanently Retired. (PR) This hummel was permanently retired by Goebel on May 31st, 1996 and will Not be produced again!
