Description: A lovely antique variation of the quilt "Grandmother's Flower Garden". Beautiful colors & sweet cottage patterns. Completely hand pieced all cotton fabrics from the 1920s. Each hexagon is a small 1 3/4” finished size. There are 43 rows of 48 hexagons equaling 2,064 individual hexagons pieced together by hand. Wow. This was finished as a coverlet with 4 corners sewn into the yellow border. This quilt was yarn tied. I believe this would fit a QUEEN size bed. There is some disintegration of some hexagons. A master quilter could replace them by hand with reproduction fabric or even vintage fabric. The backing is a yellow. One dark stain on the edge of the front that has bled through to the back. There is one other stain on the back of quilt in the same corner. I have not tried to clean or repair this quilt. See pictures. Quilt measures 72" x 90" as is displayed on my king size bed for photos. I believe it would fit a queen size bed. 102623
