Description: Harald Rudyard Engman 1903-1968 was a Danish artist known as one of the "underground painters" for challenging social ills and abuse of power. He was forced into exile during WWII for his caricatures of the Nazis. There is no paperwork of authenticity, but it has been in our family for 3 generations. The 11" x 15" painting is not dated but there is a similar painting entitled Scenery From Nyboder for comparison.
