Description: This is a limited edition Hobby Master 1:72 U.S. Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom, a two seat twin engine long-range all-weather supersonic jet fighter/bomber. It has registration number 67-0362 and was piloted by Ace Captain Steve Ritchie and Ace WSO Captain Charles DeBellevue while flying MiGCAP (MiG Combat Air Patrol) with the the 432rd Tactical Reconnaissance Wing, 555th Tactical Fighter Squadron (Triple Nickel) in July, 1972 out of Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand. On July 8th, 1972 during Operation Linebacker Captain Ritchie and Captain DeBellevue, while flying the lead F-4E call sign Paula 01 in a flight of four, shot down two MiG-21 using the AIM-7 missile. The squadron was to engage in combat operations (bombardment, ground support, air defense, interdiction, fast-forward air control, escort, and armed reconnaissance) over Southeast Asia, primarily Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. It is item # HA1934 released in 2011. Color is olive, dark green, tan camouflage with a gray underside. All accessories are accounted for. This is one of only 1,180 released worldwide by Hobby Master.Condition is new with some wear on the protective cardboard sleeve and clear acrylic case.
