These blankets also minimize the heat soak transfer between the main body and actuator body of the wastegate. This insulation ensures more stable operation of the wastegate under extreme conditions. The blankets feature internal insulation made from high temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool, which is rated up to 2300°F peak. The insulation is held in place with a high temperature stainless steel mesh for increased durability. These heat shields will stand up to the harshest environments. EASY TO INSTALL These Heat Shields can be easily installed in minutes. Simply wrap the blanket around the wastegate and secure it with the included spring.
