It runs for a few seconds and then stops. The clock part or the battery contact part needs to be replaced. I do not know when it was purchased or how long it was used, It is relatively old, made in Germany. The mechanical clock part also has the original Junghans. (It does not run well with new batteries). It has not been replaced with another new one over time. (Please replace it with another watch of your choice when you use it. The original second hand makes a very loud ticking sound, so if you are sensitive to sound, you may prefer a clock with a modern mechanism that runs smoothly.)
