( Has Professional Repairs - Restoration - Refurbished ) Antique Sonneberg Type M&S Superior German Papier Mache Head Doll Round Dome 7" Doll Head, late 19th century - Muller & Strassburger made these dolls in Germany from 1863 to the 1890's. This 7 inch tall restored doll head, circa the late 19th century, Germany, papier mache. The head has been professionaly repainted and repaired. I see no chipping or cracks ( Her Hair has Paint chips and paint loss ). This originaly had a paper label, on the back of the shoulder plate, that read, “M & S//Superior//2015.” I like the Mona Lisa type smile on the face of this old restored doll survivor.
