Description: Save money and buy the complete set of this very rare series. This is the 10th edition from 1909 and the book was originally published in 1865. Below is a general summary of the condition. PLEASE review the photos with this listing. We included photos of the major issues. If you’d like additional info or have specific questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! The condition of each volume varies and volumes 2 and 3 are arguably in good condition. Volume 1 has the most issues with a cracked spine in the back of the book and the very last free endpaper has detached. This is blank final page is the only one in the entire set that has detached. The other issue is that a previous owner should have had his private library stamps taken away from him as he excessively and needlessly stamped these books on the outside and inside cover and again on the title page. There appear to have been a few owners over the centuries and volume 2 has some notes in the very back. There might be a few underlinings here and there on the inside pages but nothing was detected on review. No issues were detected that will prevent these volumes from being read. The books are 115 years old and should be handled with care.
