Description: This colorful one of a kind Lilly Dache cloche is a delight. The cloche is made of cream, gold, magenta, purple, melon and tan ribbons woven through pieces of plastic coated “wire.” Plastic beads are strung through the “wire.” There are self- fabric streamers down the back. Two black labels, “The French Room, Marshall Field & Co” and “Lilly Dache, Paris, New York, 78 East 56th Street, N.Y.” Lilly Dache hand made hats were highly desired by the wealthiest and most sophisticated women in the decades of the 1930s into the 1950s. She designed for Hollywood films and had many clients who were movie stars, artists, musicians and celebrities including Audrey Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich and Loretta Young who bought Dache’s last 30 hats when Dache retired in 1968. The cloche is in really good condition. I don’t see any tears or stains. Please look at the photos carefully because the hat is not returnable.
