Description: Markham King 1896 Single Shot break pump 177 caliber BB rifle. Good all-around condition for a 125-year-old air rifle. Needs a small solder patch along the barrel seam where it pairs up to the receiver. The current stock solder point has cracked in this area. The specific area in the photos is about an inch behind the rear sight. I've included a close-up photo of this area. The rifle cocks as designed and can shoot a BB if the barrel and receiver are held while firing the gun. It fires a BB at about 150 FPS so on the weaker side. It dents a Coke can at 15 feet. See photos for additional details. The Blue Book of Airguns appraises this air rifle at $875 at 40% and $2500 for 95%. As a 50+ year airgun collector, I would evaluate this air rifle at 50% [$1100] with the seam soldered. Own a piece of airgun history and email seller your questions.
