Description: Mervyns California Missions Series Vintage San Francisco de Asis NO CROSS History: Mission San Francisco de Asis, named for Saint Francis of Assisi, was established October 9th, 1776. It was the sixth of 21 missions built under the direction of Father Junipero Serra. The mission, situated in the heart of a major seaport, is popularly known as Mission Delores. The name refers to a small stream running through the mission grounds. Pre-owned, the cross is missing and the box has some wear. The roof corner has been repaired, see the last picture.
