Description: Formed and spot welded metal mesh chicken shaped countertop egg basket. Unbranded. Preowned. Country of origin unknown. Can be used as a fruit basket as well. Farmhouse decor item. Similar to Frederic Weinberg (designer) 1966 abstract form of a chicken. Original design was painted in black enamel. Design of this chicken form is identical albeit somewhat smaller in scale. Wire and mesh for this mould is a steel alloy. Generally to avoid oxidation but in this case some oxidation has taken root. Still, excellent condition and a rare item.
