Description: Nice Vietnam War Era U.S.Army M1 Helmet With Camo Parachute Cover, RSSB Shell I bought this helmet and it had the tattered remains of a camo parachute fabric cover that had been taped inside the shell with ancient masking tape. I replaced the cover remains with an identical piece of parachute material and made an elastic band out of a piece of tire inner tube. This is a nice clean Vietnam War era M1 helmet. The shell is a WWII era rear seam swivel bail with sewn on chinstraps. The shell and MSA liner are both in very nice condition. Payment must be received within 7 days of auction close or high bidder loses all right to property. This is a nice clean Vietnam War era M1 helmet. The shell is a WWII era front seam swivel bail that likely was repainted and had the chinstraps replaced for Vietnam use. The shell and Capac liner are both in very nice condition and the Mitchell pattern cover is excellent as well. It could use a nape strap and an elastic camouflage band, but this is a nice helmet. Payment must be received within 7 days of auction close or high bidder loses all right to property.
