Description: OLD ORIGINAL TRANSITIONAL LIGHTNING ROD WEATHERVANE FERRULE #1. Meas. approx. 2 1/4"H. Features brass bronze construction with original frozen/seized set screws. Transitional ferrules were created to allow lightning rod companies to install the older larger center hole arrows onto later tube style rods. This allowed companies to continue using their unused 1880-90's era stock of arrows on early 1900's modern day setups. This ferrule was designed for tube style rods with a 3/4"D center hole and arrows with a 1"D center hole. Overall condition excellent. Typical wear through spot near top remains strong as shown. Nice dark green verdigris surface from years of outdoor exposure as shown.
