Zucchinis are common in home gardens and supermarkets, and the young fruits are cooked as a vegetable. The flowers are also edible and are sometimes fried. Squash Butternut 10 ct ~ 15 ct seeds Butternut Squash is a winter squash, but one of its great secrets is that it can also be harvested young and eaten like a summer squash—tender and toothsome, skin and all. When allowed to mature, it reaches about 8 or 9 inches long and up to 4 inches diameter around its plump "bulb end". Expect it to weigh in at an impressive 4 to 5 pounds. Cure it after harvest and store it in a cool, dry place—it stores for several months, lasting nearly through winter from an early fall harvest. Squash Yellow Straightneck10 ct ~ 15 ct seeds An heirloom summer squash, Early Prolific Straightneck Squash is a grown as a fruit vegetable. The plant sets small yellow flowers followed by an abundant crop of tender lemon-yellow fruits with a tapered neck and firm, fine-grained, creamy yellow flesh. The lightly warted, club-shaped fruits will reach a mature size of 10 to 14 inches long and 2½ to 3½ inches wide but are best eaten at 4 to 7 inches. Summer squash is good fried or baked and can also be used in pastas and soups. Acorn squash is low in calories, brimming with fiber, and packed with nutrients. It is an excellent source of B vitamins, vitamin C, magnesium, and potassium. Squash Spaghetti10 ct ~ 15 ct seeds An heirloom variety and excellent OP strain, this winter spaghetti squash is grown as a fruit vegetable, producing rounded cylindrical buff tan fruits, approximately 8 to 12 inches long and 5 to 6 inches in diameter. The squash keeps up to 6 months. They can be boiled whole or baked. The flesh peels out in strands, similar to pasta, and has become popular as a nutritious, low-calorie spaghetti. Pumpkin Jack O Lantern10 ct ~ 15 ct ~ 20 ct seeds This is the pumpkin you want for carving—and cooking. Finally recognized for their culinary pizzazz, pumpkins lend rich flavor to breads, bread pudding, soups, and pasta—not to mention the autumn awesomeness of pumpkin pie and spicy pumpkin chai. Fruits are medium-sized and round to elongated in shape. Laurentian Rutabaga25 ~ 50 seeds Laurentian Rutabaga (Brassica napus), also known as Swedes or Swedish Turnips, will produce nice flavorful globular roots that span up to 6" across. Purple at the top of the root and a yellowish color on the bottom. Excellent when cooked in soups, boiled, roasted or mashed. Also great on fresh salads. Rutabaga originates from the 17th century as a cross between a turnip and cabbage. A great source of Vitamin C and carotenoids Forbidden Rice25 ~ 50 seeds Forbidden rice is both lower in calories and higher in fiber and protein than its white or brown counterparts. In addition, Forbidden rice is literally bursting out of its hull with antioxidants. In fact, the outer black hulls of the dark grain boast one of the highest levels of anthocyanin antioxidants of any food, including superfood pin-ups like blueberries and açaí.Since antioxidants aid in boosting our immune systems and protecting our cells from radical damage, consuming Forbidden rice is believed to significantly decrease our risk of heart disease and cancer Fava Bean6 seeds Fava Bean is a delicious edible bean variety that will also support our pollinators. This tall growing yet compact annual heirloom plant produces clusters of white flowers with dark purple lashes that mature into oblong edible bean pods. The young pods can be eaten fresh right off the vine, but many people prefer to shuck them and fry in oil or mash into a hummus alternative. This plant also fixes large amounts of nitrogen into the soil, making it a great regenerative choice for depleted soils. **I ask my customers to please allow extra time for delivery because the mailing system is very slow or as its known to be called snail mail. I've had it happen several times that there is a cross in the mail delivery system when not enough time is allowed for delivery. All my seeds are shipped by regular mail to keep shipping free for my buyers. AS PER E-BAY & COMMON COURTESY IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS PLEASE CONTACT ME FIRST BEFORE LEAVING ME NEGATIVE FEEDBACK AND I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO RESOLVE ANY AND ALL ISSUES. THANK YOU
