Description: Hotel Lafayette Marietta Ohio painted wood sign. To put some context to the “Fireproof” mentioned on the sign: “The Bellevue was destroyed by fire on April 26, 1916. After the fire, the hotel was rebuilt by a Marietta businessmen, opened on July 1, 1918 and renamed as the Lafayette Hotel.” It isn’t marked but this looks to possibly be an Ithaca Sign Works sign. Measures 36” wide. Sign has some older cracks but is stable, see pictures for condition.
