Description: ORIGINAL UNIQUE PAIR OF ANTIQUE GEORGIAN CANDLESTICKS, BRONZE, Electric Conversion, FROM ESTATE COLLECTION. THESE ARE ANTIQUE CANDLESTICKS, NOT REPRODUCTIONS! Size: APPROX. 14" High to top of socket, candlesticks are 10 3/4" tall. Bases are approx. 4 1/2" wide. Structurally in Nice Condition. Each show some aging to finish, but really nice with original patina, Some signs of age and use. The candlestick is solid, no wobble on flat surface. There is one light dent on the edge of base on one candlestick and one of the socket covers is missing (available online). These are Early Original Sticks that someone has electrified at some point in their 150 year old existence. The wiring has been removed at some point but both sockets are intact. These could be easily rewired or sockets removed. Hand crafted, note the extensive hammering on the bottom of base and the crimped fitting of base to stick. No wobble at all, really solid. We did not try to clean or polish these as we did not want to damage the patina. We will leave the amount of polish and cleaning up to the new owner, as everyone has there preference as to the amount of cleaning that suits their tastes.
