We have been lucky enough to buy a pack of 20 that have been tied together using a camouflaged helmet net string. From the look of it, they have been used at the time but then handed back in and bailed up for future use. Some interestingly have earlier date stamps including 1941,42 but all are 43 dated which I assume is a reissue date having been checked over ready for going back into service, but never did. All are in great condition and as said before, for each purchase you will be buying one from the pile.
