Description: Iver Johnson safety top break revolver 3" barrel and cylinder assembly. The unit is in acceptable condition especially given the age. The exterior blue finish is mostly worn and replaced by patina. The cylinder spins smoothly and freely and the top snap break release has good spring and returns to position. The bore and cylinder chambers are quite decent and have shine with light pitting. Bore has well defined rifling and grooves and should be a good shooter. The cylinder ratchet gears have some wear and could perhaps use a light filing and clean up dressing by a gunsmith but have a good amount of material on the shelves and should interface with the cylinder hand just fine. Overall a decent piece to restore your old or worn unit.
