Produced on thick 300 gsm silk art paper this Limited Edition Print is suitable for framing with or without a mount and will be supplied inside a sturdy cardboard postal tube.Paul McCartney’s 1962 Epiphone Casino ES-230TDEncouraged to buy a Casino by John Mayall, Paul was the first Beatle to purchase one and found his in London around December 1964 in time for rehearsals for The Beatles’ Christmas Show. Although not the most expensive guitar available, Paul was searching for a particular tone and wanted a hollow body with a Bigsby but at the time his choice was limited as this was the only model available from the importer. Paul has referred to it as his favourite electric, even though he needed to do some small modifications including altering it for playing left-handed by turning the guitar upside down, re-stringing and modifying the bridge. He also added a strap button to the top horn. Using his Casino extensively in the studio as a member of The Beatles, particularly on recordings of Ticket To Ride, Taxman and Drive My Car, he has also used it throughout his solo career.
