Many patches have only a limited quantity available for purchase. All “Printing Seconds” may have printing blemishes or other defects. Dots of ink out of place, small voids in the matt finish topcoat, irregularity in the matt finish topcoat, visible solas imprint, large dirt particles, or creases in the solas material. The patches are manufactured in our factory here in the USA. Every step of the process is done at Anytime Sign, artwork, screen printing and die cutting. Manufactured with the SolasX technique. This patch bears the SolasX mark of authenticity in the lower right corner of the patch. This mark is only visible when viewed with night vision equipment. We use the best quality materials and printing techniques: Solas3™ Brand Solas is approved by the U.S. Coast Guard as a retro reflective material used to enhance visibility of life saving equipment in nighttime, or low light conditions. Solas3™ brand Solas reflects brightly when viewed with night vision equipment, providing crystal-clear friend or foe identification. The VELCRO® BRAND FASTENER we use has the highest quality acrylic-based adhesive glue and is able to withstand extremely hot climates. Solvent based inks are better than digitally printed or UV inks because they adhere better and have a thicker ink deposit. Solvent based inks will not fade, even if they are left outdoors for years. Magic Black Infrared Ink. Magic Black is made and developed by Anytime Sign. We regulate the quality and the thickness for ultimate opacity in the visible spectrum. In the infrared spectrum, Magic Black becomes transparent allowing for the Solas3™ Brand solas to reflect light back to the Night Vision equipment, providing crystal- clear friend or foe identification. Matt Top coat. Patches come with a standard Matt top coat to cut down on possible glare in the visible spectrum. The matt topcoat is screen printed and will not peel off like a laminate. In addition to cutting down on glare, the matt topcoat provides protection against scratching, and prolongs the life or your patches (which take a lot of abuse).
