DENVER COLORADO - OPERATED AT GRAND RACING DERBY SUNNYSIDE AMUSEMENT PARK - CANADIAN NATIONAL EXHIBITION, TORONTO, ONTARIO CIRCA 1918We have the privilege to offer you this handsome, early Prior & Church 2 seater carousel horse, hand carved by Theophilous Williams with the Williams Amusement Co., Denver, Colorado, from the 1918 period.This beautiful horse was operational at the Grand Racing Derby at the Sunnyside Amusement Park, the Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto, Ontario from 1922 to 1955 when the park was demolished. Measuring 86 inches long, 26 inches wide with the wrought iron metal stirrups and 70 inches high with the expensive custom roller base. It has beautiful early crackulator paint, probably from the 1930s. It is so nice to have a piece in as near original condition as possible. Is is sturdy and solid. A handsome piece with wonderful character.This piece has to go freight. The least expensive solution would be to ship it with Wendy Backus, Northeast Transport. (You can find her on the Internet. EBay will not let us share her phone number.) She transports items for many of our local auctions across the country and blanket wraps items. You will pay her directly. The only problem is, she is alone, so it may take a few months to get your piece, depending where she is. She makes trips across country to California. She will tell you when you call her. We can help get this on her truck and you will need to be able to have help to take it off her truck. She has a lift gate. We have photographed every part for you, so that you can see the condition.
