Description: Pyrite (sometimes called Fool's Gold) rough rock from Peru. This Pyrite is in 'chispa' form, meaning the pyrite is comprised mostly of fine chips clustered together, some with small cubic formations. Smaller pieces (3cm) are ideal for tumbling. Pyrite is not a typical choice of tumblestone, but it is hard enough to tumble well and due to its unique appearance creates real impact within a tumblestone mix. Larger pieces (5-7cm & 7-12cm) can be used for a range of arts / decorative projects and purposes. Following approx. piece sizes available (sq. cm): 3cm, 5-7cm, 7-12cm. Hardness rating: 6.5 (Mohs).
