Description: Beautiful Large Size Silver Coin 1891B Five Francs NGC VF 35 Swiss Confederation For your Swiss Coin Collection - SWI020 Details Description: A beautiful large size silver coin from the Swiss Confederation or Switzerland. This is the 1891B five francs Swiss coin issued by the Swiss Confederation. The coin depicts the image of a woman's bust with a wreath in her hair surrounded by the word CONFEDERATIO HELVTICA 1891 on the obverse. The reverse has shield having the Swiss cross dividing the denomination all surrounded by a wreath and the letter "B" in the bottom. This is a very nice large (the flan measures 37 millimeters) silver coin weighing about 25 grams of 90% purity silver that is nicely toned and having great eye appeal. This coin is of low mintage with only 150,000 pieces minted. The coin comes in a slab and is graded by Numismatic Guarantee Corporation as VF 35. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description. Date: 1891. Mint: Bern, Switzerland. Size and weight: This is a five francs weighing 25 grams and measuring about 37 mm in diameter. References: It is KM #34. Condition: The coin is slabed and graded by NGC as Very Fine VF 35. It has some minor scratches throughout as well as a few light nicks and bag marks. It also has a minor bump to the rimat about 5 O'clock when you look at the obverse.
