Description: I visited the Dominion Monarch ship during the 1962 world's fair (I was 10 years old) and paying admission you were allowed to walk around the ship which was at one time the largest ocean going liner, but was out dated and scheduled to be scrapped after the fair. It was a floating hotel, docked on the Seattle waterfront about a mile from the fairgrounds. What was odd (I certainly didn't think of it as a child) was that we were wandering around a hotel, walking down the narrow corridors where guest cabins/rooms were. I would think having hundreds of loud visitors (adults and plenty of kids) wanadering the halls might be a tad annoying to those in their "hotel" rooms or who might be walking through the small crowds to get to a dining room. And if you didn't want to pay multiple times to visit the ship--and perhaps shop in the gift shop or have a meal on board--you could purchase a "season" pass--good through the October 21 world's fair closing date. I suspect these are so rare today because so few might have been printed/used in 1962. If you collect paper and tickets or passes from world's fairs in general or 1962's Century 21 Expo specifically, it's a rare item you probably do no have in your collection. Pretty cool if you collect such things, especially from Seattle's fair that somehow was 62 years ago--doesn't seem quite possible....
