Description: Note to Ebay These films are in the Public Domain It’s been estimated that over 90% of all silent films made no longer exist. Of the ones that do still exist there are many that are preserved in only in private collections or various archives such as the Library of Congress, Museum of Modern Art, UCLA , etc. Most of these are not accessible to the general public. I have just had thirteen films from my private collection transferred from film and I am releasing them on DVD-R. While all are in the “Public Domain” chances are you have never seen most of them. Four of them were transferred using a “Frame By Frame” transfer process and nine were done using a high definition “Rank And File” process. The Rank and File process is almost four times more expensive than the Frame by Frame transfer. I have added a “royalty free music” selection to each film. Collection #4 has 4 films Little Country Mouse (1914) starring Blanche Sweet, Wallace Reid, Mary Alden, and Raoul Walsh. Little Country Mouse Blanche Sweet goes to the city to visit her cousin. There she plays cards and ends up owing $250 which is paid for by the evil Wallace Reid who intends to force her to his will. Her honor is rescued by Raoul Walsh. Running Time 13:23 A Virginia Feud (1913) starring James Vincent, Alice Hollister, Henry Hallam, and James B Ross. This was Hollywoods version of the Hatfield and McCoy feuds with a little Romeo and Juliet thrown in. Running Time 16:01 Polishing Up (1912) starring John Bunny. Bunny and his wife decide to take separate vacations and end up at the same hotel with their paramours! Running Time 16:44 Battle At Elderbush Gulch (1913) Yes I know this isn’t rare.
