RARE Vintage Homer Laughlin Apple Tree Ivory Red Band 7" Mixing Bowl Orange Tree

Description: RARE Vintage Homer Laughlin Apple Tree White Red Band 7" Mixing Bowl Orange Tree Rare to find this AppleTree mixing bowl in ivory with the true red banded rim! Beautiful ivory glaze with true red rim line on the specialty 7" nesting mixing bowl! RARE Vintage Homer Laughlin Apple Tree Ivory Red Band 7" Mixing Bowl Orange Tree The Appletree bowls were a set of nested mixing bowls made by Homer Laughlin during the 1930s and into the early 1940s. They were designed by art director, Frederick Rhead. Colgate offered the green Appletree bowls (which tends to look more blue than green) throughout the 1930s as premiums. Customers could get sets of bowls by using their Octagon soap coupons. The most common color is the Colgate green glaze. The bowls were also made in melon yellow and ivory glazes. The ivory bowls were sold as either blank or decorated with colored bands or decals. The 9 ½" size can be found in OvenServe's orange (pumpkin) glaze. While the official name for these bowls is Appletree, many collectors call them Orange Tree while even other collectors call the design "peach tree." Bowls Signed HL Co. Condition : Good vintage preowned condition for this rare 7" apple tree mixing bowl. Has use wear and handling wear on rim and inside of the bowl - overall red lines are bright. There are some small factory production flaws such as glaze pops and stains. There are a few areas on the rim & outside of the bowl with no color which occurred during the manufacturing phase - these are not chips. Some other factory mold flaws as can be seen in the pictures. There are also pinhead raised firing mark just below the rim. Great condition overall for this rare piece! See all pictures.
