Description: Beautiful Russian Lacquer Box featuring a tawny colored stag with enormous antlers. I think the box was made in Kholui based on some research I did. It very well could be Palekh or Mstera but it’s simplicity, some design elements and age made me think Kholui. Box comes with original paper certificate. It is in Russian. I can read a date of 1983. Measurements: 4.5 inches by 3 inches by 1 inch Condition: Very Good. There piece shows some mild handling. Some surface rubbing on top near edges. Top left corner rough to touch.
