CHASE CARD RED-NUMBERED, 33 YEARS OLD, RARE VINTAGE (Card Size: 3.5x2.5 in / 9x6.5 cm) Screaming Trees were an American rock band formed in '85 by Mark Lanegan (vocals), Gary Lee Conner (guitar), Van Conner (bass) & Mark Pickerel (drums). Pickerel was replaced by Barrett Martin, then Dan Peters by the time they reached its most successful period. Although associated with grunge, their sound incorporated hard rock & psychedelic elements. They released 8 studio albums, 5 EPs, 3 compilations & are known as 1 of the pioneers of grunge. They rose to fame in the early ‘90s, along with bands such as Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana & Soundgarden & were 1 of the most successful ‘90s underground music acts. They were plagued by extended inactivity due to problems with making a follow up to album Dust (’96). This led them to disband in 2000. Album Last Words: The Final Recordings (recorded in '98 & '99) was released digitally in 2011.
