Description: Hi Folks I am selling my 1976 Selmer Paris Low Eb Bass Clarinet. It is a “Y series” (ie, serial number starts with Y), which Selmer Paris tells me it was manufactured in March 1976. It is, per Selmer, a model 25/II. This is a wonderful instrument, and plays beautifully. This has been my primary bass clarinet, and I am only parting with it because I have just purchased a new Low-C Selmer Privilege. This instrument was completely rebuilt by the owner of Axe Repair in Mesa, AZ two years ago. He is a specialist is woodwinds, and many symphony players have him work on their instruments. He is willing to speak with anyone about the horn if they are serious in buying. It comes with a two year old BAM trekking case, which is in great shape. The instrument is in very good shape. It has what I consider to be honest, normal key wear for its age. The wood is in great shape, the bore is smooth, and there no cracks or crack repairs. There is a ding on the rib of the bell, which was there when I bought the instrument yers ago. It has no effect whatsoever of the playing of the instrument, and it doesn't even look like it extended into the inside of the bell. Attached is a video of my playing a simple scale….because of my hand injury, I cannot play all that well! This is a great playing, and marvelous instrument. It will serve well.
