Description: Set of 3 Antique Napoleon Buonaparte Prints In Wood Frame Liners 6.75"H READ ALL This gorgeous partial set of 3 antique or vintage prints of Napoleon Buonaparte will make a great addition to your collection. The set would have originally included 4 prints but one of them was already missing when I purchased them and the 3 that remain are titled Napoleon Buonaparte, Napoleon At Waterloo, and Napoleon Crossing The Alps. They appear to be older paper prints possibly hand-colored details and cut out of a period magazine or newspaper and include vintage or antique wood frame liners (as in the smaller frames would have fit inside of a larger more ornate frame) with glass and backings. Each piece includes a retail framing sticker on the back that reads The H. Lieber Company Indianapolis which was the Herman Lieber company which was an art dealer / gallery and photo supplier in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana from 1854-1979. Each of the 3 prints & framing has quite a bit of wear & damage so please read complete details below and review photos closely for condition. Thank you and enjoy! ITEM DETAILS: Approximate weight is 1 lb 3 ozs total for all 3 piecesEach measures approximately .75" x 5" x 6.75" overall including the framing but not including the metal eye screws/wires. The back opening of the frame liner measures approximately 4.125" x 5.75" (roughly as the pieces are not perfectly square)Condition of the prints: In as-is vintage or antique pre-owned condition with wear including heavy yellowing/browning/darkening due to the acidic backing & age, stains, discoloring, the "Napoleon Crossing the Alps" print has several tears/rips near the bottom of the print, mildew, ink imprint loss/fading, discoloring, stains, brittleness, the paper has likely dry rotted, patina, oxidation, each piece has possibly been cut down from an original unknown size, dirt, dust, grime, oxidation and overall wear from age and being exposed to the acidic backing and elements. Please see photos for details.Condition of the framing/glass/mounting: The wood frame liner has unfinished sides due to it having originally went inside of a larger more ornate frame, the gold-silver metallic finish is heavily worn with a layer of plaster below showing through, cracks in the finish, scratches, heavy chipping, actively flaking finish, stains, dirt, dust, grime, the print titled Napoleon Buonaparte has had the metal eye screw ripped out of the wood frame liner which has left a hole and a chunk of missing wood, wormwood style holes in the wood likely made from the larvae of an unknown boring beetle, cracking, chipped away corners & edges, separations in the mitered corner joints, visible nail holes, oxidation, patina, tarnish, rust on the metal components, the back paper cover is actively disintegrating and dry rotted with tears and pieces missing (the cardboard backing is in similar condition), there are sizeable pieces/chips of wood missing from the edges, torn surface area on the paper backing where retail stickers were removed, nails sticking out, sharp frayed ends on the metal hanging wires, pencil marks/numbers likely made by the framer, overall HEAVY distressing due to age and mishandling, the glass on each piece is dirty, hazy, scratches, has haziness/dullness on the inside and outside, oily residue on the glass and overall wear from age and handling. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE OK WITH THE CONDITION BEFORE PURCHASING.
