Description: Normal 0 Normal 0 This is a set of six aluminum stovepipe heat exchanger / reclaimer / recovery / radiator rings that extract heat from the hot stove pipe and radiate the heat into the room. They will fit 3 inch diameter standard stove pipe. (9 1/2" circumference) See my other listings for 3.6" corn / pellet stove, 4", 5", 6", 7", or 8" stovepipe. Installed, they make close contact with your stove pipe and conduct more usable heat from the hot pipe to be released into the room. They, in effect, increase the surface area of your stovepipe between the stove and the chimney, therefore allowing more heat to be radiated and released into the room. They work just like the fins on a motorcycle engine. You get one lot of 6 radiators. They are made of 28 gauge aluminum, 1 ½" wide. They will work with any heat source....wood, coal, propane, fuel oil, natural gas... They attach quickly and easily to your stovepipe....no screws or tools needed. The ends lock into each other. It takes about 2 minutes to attach all six radiators. The bands conduct heat from the points of contact on the stovepipe to the loops in the band where the heat is released into the room. The band loops get nearly as hot as the stovepipe...too hot to touch. Installed close together, this one set of 6 radiators will cover 9 inches of pipe.PLEASE, PLEASE......MEASURE THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF YOUR PIPE (the length around) WITH A FLEXIBLE TAPE MEASURE ! Do not guess at your diameter...it is impossible to measure the diameter of an installed pipe. ORDER BY CIRCUMFERENCE....see below.FREE HEAT...How much heat? Here is an example for a 6" dia. set. Each 6” diameter radiator has 10 loops that are 2” x 1.5”…that is 30 square inches of sheet metal. 6 x 30 sq/in = 180 square inches of sheet metal. That is equivalent to a 12" x 15” sheet of hot metal So in effect, by installing this set of 6 bands, you create the equivalent of this 12" x 15” sheet of hot sheet metal, 300 - 500 degrees, radiating heat from both sides of the sheet into the room before it escapes out the chimney. That is like a small space heater itself...and it is FREE HEAT. See my other listing for radiators for 3.6" corn / pellet stove, 4", 5", 6", 7", and 8" dia. pipes. If there is a question about which diameter stovepipe you have, just measure the circumference (around the pipe) and divide by 3.14 (APPROXIMATE CIRCUMFERENCE MEASUREMENTS) 3” diameter standard pipe = 9 1/2” Circumference 3.6" diameter double wall, insulated pellet / corn 3.6” diameter pipe = 11.5 Circumference 4” diameter standard pipe = 13” Circumference5” diameter standard pipe = 15.7” Circumference 6” diameter standard pipe = 19” Circumference7” diameter standard pipe = 22” Circumference 8” diameter standard pipe = 25 1/4” Circumference They will last a lifetime. They never need maintenance. They may be re-used if you replace the old stovepipe. They are guaranteed to draw more heat from the stovepipe. They pay for themselves in a short period of time. You may put on as many bands as you wish or have room for. The more bands, the less heat going out the chimney. NOTE: The length of stovepipe in the picture is not part of the sale... It was just for pictures to show the application. Stovepipe Sizes Approx.
