Description: This Sports Illustrated magazine from August 16, 1954 is a rare find for any sports memorabilia collector. The publication features cards and articles about the sporting world of the time. The vintage magazine has some water damage to the cards and pages. It has been treated with baking soda and freezing. There is still a slight odor but most of it has been eliminated. There is visible water damage around the pages affecting the cards. And some of the pages may be stuck together. There is some flaking of pages where they were wet. Despite the damage the magazine graphics are still crisp and otherwise in good condition.. I have two different versions with slightly different ware. They are posted separately. The photos are of this actual magazine you will receive.
