Description: Up for sale is a Stanley #5 type 17 Hand Plane. This is a plane made during WWII and is the only plane with a hard rubber adj. nut. This plane is in great original shape and has no damage. This plane has seen very little use as the blade is almost as long as factory issue. The sole is perfect smooth and flat with no scratches or marks of any kind. The tote has a crack that has been nicely repaired .This plane would make a great user or perfect for a war year collection.
