It has a larger shim surface, 2.5" x 1.5". That is 1/2" from the edges. If using this shim card for coin work as pictured above, you have a larger surface for pick-up and being that it is a 1/2" from the edge it prevents "flash" of the coin.This shim card is produced by inserting the shim between two cards, so it is double thick. By just looking at it, it looks normal.
