In doing so, only the analog signal path was used, always referring to the sound of the first pressings of the original albums. The analog vinyl was produced using a Studer A80 master recorder with analog preview and program pass functions, and a Neumann VMS70 cutting machine installed at Capitol Studios in 1971. By using analog equipment for the entire cutting process, it is possible to faithfully reproduce the range and dynamics recorded on the original tapes.
