A well constructed Bible, it is leather lined with overcast stitching on the first and last signatures or added binding strength. The sewn binding opens flat anywhere. It's hard to beat the crisp dark print on the very opaque paper of these older Open Bibles. The Open Bible is one of the most popular Bibles ever sold. I use one similar to this for my daily study. It is a great Study Bible loaded with helps. The Cyclopedic Index is a great feature. The wealth of information in an Open Bible is amazing with lots of life and teaching in it. The page edge gilt is near mint. Some of the pages are still stuck together at the page edge gilt. I flipped through it several times and didn't see any markings or highlighting anywhere. I didn't turn every page though so it's possible I may have missed something, but the text block appears to have never been used. Title page had a closed tear that was repaired with Lineco Acid Free repair tape. No original box (See Pictures and Description).
