This non-woven fabric has a relatively small percentage of binder material (less than 3%). The binder is applied to only one side of the fabric resulting in virtually no crimp in the reinforcement fibers. When purchasing multiple yards of the same fabric you will receive one continuous length of that material. It will be rolled, covered in plastic, and shipped in a cardboard tube to keep the fabric in its first quality condition. This unidirectional reinforcing fabric is used to improve tensile, compressive strength, and stiffness in one direction only. This special unidirectional carbon fiber is ideal to maximize flexibility & aesthetics.
