The Wyandotte, Michigan steel plant would help to produce over 2.3 million tank bogie wheels for various American tanks during the war. Cover is postmarked from St. Louis, Missouri and cancelled using number 20 shoe-print killers. Contains (3) US Scott #C25 and US Scott #E15. Cover contains (2) Special Delivery and (2) Via "Air" Mail auxiliary postal markings. Cover is backstamped Wyandotte, Michigan, April 8, 1942 at 8:30am. Cover is in fair condition. Noticeable wear along top where opened and toning due to age. Some brown staining in top right corner. Creasing along left side. Blunted lower right corner.
