Description: This is a US native Bladderwort, collected many years ago from Lake Martin, near Lafayette, LA I have grown it in my outdoor Paradise and Molly above ground plastic ponds for years, it thrives and forms dense matts which provides a SUPERB refuge for the smallest of baby fish. It remains a light green color year round and it frequently produces upright stalks with bright yellow flowers. This species is TOTALLY cold hardy and can withstand freezing water conditions. We routinely get temps down to below 20F in some winters for short periods (1-3 days) and this plant thrives under such conditions.
