Description: Up for sale is a Vernon Kilns Pottery Santa Barbara lug chowder bowl measuring 6.5" across. This bowl is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, repairs, and no marks or scratches from utensil use. The Santa Barbara pattern was produced in 1939 on Vernon Kiln's very Art Deco 'Ultra' shape. In 1939 Vernon Kilns also produced 4 other Chintz style patterns (Santa Clara, Santa Maria, Santa Paula, Santa Rosa) that, if a collector was so inclined, could be mixed and matched with Santa Barbara pieces.
