BEHIND THE SCENES TRIVIA : The picture was nominated for seven Australian Film Institute (AFI) Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Costume Design, Best Editing and Best Cinematography but winning two - for Best Actor (John Waters) and Best Supporting Actor (Kim Gyngell). Writer-producer Frank Howson said of this picture in the November 1989 edition of Australian film magazine 'Cinema Papers': "It was the first film we'd done, and it was made with a lot of commercial requirements because we weren't in the position to just make a film and hope for the best. We set out to make a film that would do well here and internationally". Frank Howson wrote the script in 5 days to Show to potential investors. A library of 20,000 to 30,000 video items from 1978 forward, including multiples, is being offered for the first time to the eBay community.
