Description: Vintage "Service Bulletin" publications, 1948Illinois & Michigan Canal, 1848-1948 (Centennial) Each bulletin is a tri-fold brochure that measures almost 6" wide x 7" tall. Features woodcut illustrations by John Dukes McKee (mister mckee) Although both publications celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the Illinois & Michigan Canal, the content and artwork is similar, but not exactly the same. Nice addition for any historical collection. One bulletin was sponsored by Western United Gas and Electric Company, the other by the Public Service Company of Northern Illinois. Condition notes: Previously owned. Each has been folded (for mailing, I presume). Green brochure has a small fold on corner of inside page. Brown brochure has some stains on inside pages.
