Description: Vintage 1970s Yema Meangraf Watch | Exceedingly Rare, Uncommon Tropical Dial Features: Referece: 271214 Year Built: c. 1970s Functions: Hours, Minutes, Seconds, Date Designed for: Men Case Material: Chromed Case Shape: Oval / tonneau (barrel) Case Size: 38 mm wide (without crown) x 43 mm Case Condition: Excellent; there are minor dings and scratches (please refer to pictures) as would be expected with any vintage piece like this, however, overall the case shows very few signs of wear especially considering its age. Width Between Lugs: 19 mm Bezel: Tachymeter (fixed) Movement: I believe this is a manual winding mechanical movement (although the dial is marked ‘Automatic’); I have not opened the watch to see the movement, since I’m not a professional and never want any accidental damage. It winds, sets, and the date flips over well. The watch is currently running. The service history is totally unknown to me, so please take this into consideration; additionally, I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the movement. It is a vintage watch that is many decades old, and it may require a service. Dial: This face is simply stunning. If you are seeking something unique, loud and wild, this is it right here. With a confluence of colors and patterns that ooze vintage, the dial of this watch brings out the best of the groovy 1970s. I’ve never seen a Yema Meangraf with blue racing/rally stripes other than this example. It is extremely rare. And, it matches gorgeously with the baby blue second hand. Altogether, it is a stunning watch face. Crystal: The crystal has obvious scratches on it and has a significant crack in the 4-6pm area. The watch is completely legible and usable as is, but take this into consideration as well. It shouldn’t be an issue replacing it at your convenience, but I haven’t found it to be bothersome or tremendously impactful on the watch’s usability or aesthetics. Strap: This watch comes with a brand new leather rally strap; I put on the watch with this strap once just to see how it felt and looked on my wrist, so any sign of use was just from that. The leather simply marks very easily, but is beautiful, plush and new. Disclaimer: This is a vintage watch with an unknown service history, which may need maintenance and or service for accurate time. Accordingly, and candidly, the time keeping of this watch hasn't been tested on a timegrapher and its accuracy is not guaranteed. This watch also cannot be guaranteed waterproof as is the case for all vintage or old watches. This watch is being sold in as is condition; what you see is what you get. And, the pictures constitute an important component of the item description, so please review the pictures carefully. Please study the pictures carefully, they show exactly condition of the item. The watch comes without box or papers and is being sold as is. Import taxes, if applicable, are the buyer’s responsibility. Please feel free to reach out and ask any questions you may have prior to purchase. All sales are final. Sincerely, all the best!
