Description: This is a vintage Archimede Seguso Murano art glass figurine of blue lovebirds on a branch. Hand-blown in Italy during the 1960s, it features the Merletto technique, which creates lace-like patterns in the glass; a signature technique of Seguso. The birds' gestures, beaks, wings and tails are similar to birds depicted in Leslie Pinas' book on Archimede Seguso. The two ends of the log are nicely ground convex and polished. Measuring about 8"w x 6"d x 5"h. The piece is made unmarked but a clear work of Seguso. The birds are in perfect condition. The piece has some minor scuff like marks on one end of the branch ( see last 2 photos), but is otherwise perfect. The piece is priced with item condition in mind and all offers are welcome.
