Description: Item HistoryAccording to the research I did, Toscany was an import company owned by Alco Standard approximately 1970-1987 before it was sold in leverage buyouts. In 1992 it was acquired and rebranded by Anchor Hocking giving them access to retailers such as Macy's, May Co, and William Sonoma. Based on that information and other listings from Toscany decanter owners I would place this item around the 1980's. I found my information on sites such as USA Copyright Records, New York Times, and Encyclopedia. Item DescriptionThis Decanter is Handmade in Romania and features Daisy and Daisy Buds etch in glass. Its stopper was missing when I found it but would work perfectly as a vase or would still be functional as a decanter with a replacement stopper. The decanters I have seen from Toscany normally have wine glasses with matching patterns, so if you are the owner of the matching wine glass this would be a great addition to your collection. No matter how used it is still a beautiful and affordable piece. Item QualitySince this item is preowned it has slight wear with the base being lightly scuffed. The Toscany label (pictured) is faded with age and the body of the decanter has two small chips (pictured). It was previously used as a flower base so I performed a light cleaning on it.
