Description: Vintage Ocean City Viscoy No. 73 fly reel made in the USA featuring a circular chrome line guide and a nice original ebonite winding grip, this is an early version of the Viscoy fly reel that came in a Viscoy Creek box made by Ocean City to compete with reels made by Pflueger and Shakespeare. Excellent mechanical condition, the spool quick release works as it should and the spool runs true in the frame, excellent exterior condition with minor scuffs from normal use, minor paint loss on the spool. The spool shaft was cleaned and oiled, see the last two photos for internal condition detail, comes with the original box, the box is in very good condition with minor edge wear and a soft spot on the bottom center of the box. Spool some new line and go fishing or put it in your collection it displays very well. Please review the photo gallery as it is part of my description of this reel.
