Description: Vintage Russian Baltic Amber Grapes & Leaves Brooch Soviet Russia Carved Pin 11g This classic Russian amber grape cluster brooch will make a wonderful addition to your collection. It features 7 round drilled amber beads accented by 2 carved grape leaves and a textured metal stem & findings. It is marked on the back in Cyrillic and does have some wear including some chipping on the back and edges of the leaves so please read complete details below and review photos closely for condition. ITEM DETAILS: Approximate weight is 11gMeasures approximately 1" x 1.75" x 2"Condition: In vintage pre-owned used condition with wear including chipping along the outside edge of the leaves and on the back edges, fine scratches on the surface of the beads & leaves, the pin is slightly bent, the backplate of the clasp includes a bend on one end that I am thinking is original and part of the design but I cannot guarantee, dulling, dirt, dust, grime, visible drilled holes in the beads, tarnish, patina, dirt, dust, grime, fine abrasions/scuffing, dents, dings, sharp edges, visible dark areas within the amber, unevenly carved leaf edges/points/corners/details, could use a good cleaning/polishing and overall wear from age and handling. With that said, the brooch has a much more pronounced and even glow when exposed to black light than previous pieces I have owned that were confirmed as being reconstituted amber.
