Description: This listing is for a Rare Vintage O.L. Butcher Trap - Trapping Supply Basket. O. L. Butcher was a trapper that needs no introduction to anyone who reads or collects his vintage trapping items. It is a 20 " tall basket in good overall condition with a very nice patina. It has a leather hand -pick up carry strap, one of the base slats is double marked O.L.BUTCHER'S TRAPPING SUPPLIES, SHUSHAN, N.Y. the zip code is barely legible. This item could be from early 1950's to 1960's. I took lots of photos to help describe this basket, even though I consider it to be in good + condition based on the harsh usage purposes of these types of items, it is best for you to be the judge of that. The back carry strapping is worn and torn in several places; the buckles have rust. The basket has a nice tight weave with minimal wear with only a few splint issues on one corner.
