Description: The item is sold as is, as found, and as you see it. The sale is for a very elaborate Italian art pottery with raised decoration shell footed vase. The vase is quite exquisite. A white base glazed ceramic, a shell with an inside design of flowers and leaves on the upper walls. They may just be decaled with some insects. On the edge of the opening, a bird on a branch with leaves. The shell itself is leaning against a leafy branch. The base also has raised decoration: roses and leaves, branches, plant life, and maybe a starfish and rose buds. Handpainted at the top edging of shell and all outside as well. Good condition: no chips/cracks. The item has age related issues: dirt in crevices, left as found. The underside is marked in black 1393 made in italy. The item will have paint and ceramic flaws along with spots dots lumps and bumps that are made that way. Underside has shelfwear. See all pics for they are part of description.
